My Technique

I take an integrative approach to psychotherapy, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. My clinical foundation is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition, I incorporate elements of Systemic Theory, Inner Child work, and other evidence-based modalities as appropriate.

I believe that a holistic and flexible approach is most effective. By thoughtfully integrating therapeutic methods, I am able to provide care that reflects your personal history, current challenges, and desired outcomes.

Our work will focus on identifying what is no longer serving you and building the skills needed to create meaningful, lasting change. I utilize an attachment-informed and trauma-sensitive framework to assess underlying relational patterns and unresolved loss. Treatment focuses on fostering emotional regulation, strengthening internal resources, processing traumatic experiences, in a way that promotes resilience and long-term psychological health.

My Motivation

My clinical focus centers on attachment patterns, developmental trauma, and complicated grief. Early relational experiences significantly shape emotional regulation, self-concept, and interpersonal functioning. Disruptions in attachment or exposure to chronic stress during critical developmental periods can have lasting effects on psychological wellbeing.

Developmental trauma, particularly when experienced within caregiving relationships, influences how individuals perceive themselves, relate to others, and respond to stress. These patterns often persist into adulthood.

Similarly, complicated grief can interfere with adaptive functioning, especially when loss is intertwined with unresolved attachment dynamics or earlier traumatic experiences.

I am currently accepting clients ages 10 through 99 for individual and couples therapy.

What is Couples Counseling?

Couples counseling is a collaborative therapeutic process in which partners and therapist work together to identify and understand the underlying factors contributing to relational distress, communication breakdown, and challenges with intimacy.

The therapist serves as a structured and neutral facilitator, supporting the couple in engaging in difficult conversations within a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment.

Open, honest, and focused sessions create the opportunity to improve communication, increase mutual understanding, and strengthen relational patterns.

What is TRE®?

Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) is a structured, body-based intervention designed to activate the body’s natural tremor mechanism as a means of reducing physiological stress and releasing stored tension associated with trauma. By intentionally eliciting neurogenic tremors in a controlled and safe manner, TRE® supports regulation of the nervous system and promotes restoration of balance following chronic stress or traumatic experiences.

Once clients are trained in the method, TRE® can be practiced independently as a self-regulation tool at home or within a guided group setting. This empowers individuals to actively participate in their ongoing stress management and trauma recovery process.
